Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in women, a women’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 7. Approximately 5-6% of women present with metastatic breast cancer at diagnosis, and still 26% of women diagnosed with breast cancer develop distant metastases.
